**JOB OVERVIEW**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Material and Concrete Testing Technician, is responsible for completing testing for the Geotechnical service line in our Fort McMurray location. The Technician will provide Compaction Testing, Concrete Testing, and PDA Testing and other QA/QC testing from our in-house lab.

**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Experience in performing testing for Concrete, Aggregates and Soils
- Can safely perform laboratory testing; clean, maintain and calibrate testing equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized lab environment
- Excellent client relations and communication skills and a motivated team player
- Excellent written communication skills to prepare accurate records and notes and report on test results
- A strong commitment to safety and sustainability
- Passion for excellence and attention to detail

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

SAFETY
- Actively participate in corporate HSE Program
- Actively participate in client HSE Programs ensuring requirements are understood and met
- Leading by example, ensuring all corporate safety program elements are implemented
- Support and participate in Safety Committee activities
- Conduct project/field safety audits when required

WORK
- Provide technical services both in the field and in our in-house lab
- Conduct field work at client sites
- Prepare reports
- Maintain testing equipment
