**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Clinical history taking and clinical examination
- Order and interpret medical investigations to screen for, diagnose, or prevent the development of medical conditions
- Select the appropriate treatments including conservative management such as lifestyle interventions, medication, or surgery
- Patient education and health promotion
- Refer appropriately to other specialist physicians as required
- Ideally be open to teaching and training students and residents
- Use an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) to keep well structured clinical records for the patients
- Work within the code of practice outlined by CPSA
- Have professional liability with CMPA
- Meet the CPSA requirements to work in the province of Alberta
