Warehouse - Material Handler

**More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to**:

- Prepare customer orders for pick up and shipment of goods.
- Operate Forklift in performance of filling duties when required.
- Unloading and Loading trucks using equipment provided in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes health and safety.
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes for shipping.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to SOP standards
- Maintain inventory controls by cycle counting of physical inventory.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat - sweep, dust, and mop as required.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and security of the warehouse and equipment.
- Wear the proper safety equipment (PPE).
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Use of counterbalance forklift as well as reach truck will be required.Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) software for order processing.

**Requirements**:

- Able to work independently and part of a team.
- Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years previous warehouse work experience.
- Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills.
- Dependable and reliable.
- Must be able to regularly lift 60 lbs. at a minimum.
- Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required.
- RF Scanner and WMS software experience preferred.Forklift certification is considered an asset.
