**Summary**

The CMM Programmer (MCosmos) is responsible for programming, set up, operation and adjustment of CMM software and equipment. This individual will utilize CMM equipment to conduct dimensional inspections for first offs, in-process and final inspection parts to ensure conformance to design intent, dimensional requirements and other specifications. The individual will have extensive knowledge of CMM equipment operation and programming.

**Responsibilities**:

- CMM loading and using MCosmos software
- Ability to program off-line
- Follow strict inspection protocol in performing inspection
- Analyze data to ensure conformance of parts to design intent, dimensional requirements, drawings and other specifications
- Provide dimensional layout reports
- Identify discrepancies and non-conformance issues, communicating report results for corrective action
- Adjust CMM equipment and programming as required to perform inspections
- Ensure CMM equipment are maintained
- Work together with Engineering Toolmakers and other departments as required
- Conduct and assist with calibration
- Perform other tasks within the department as required
- Minimum 3 years of dimensional inspection experience using manual measurement tools (e.g. calipers, height gauges, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings including proficiency understanding and interpreting ANSI Y14.5M GD&T

**Requirements**:

- Experience: Minimum 3 years of direct work experience with CMM operating
- Strong mechanical background
- Experience with MCosmos required
- Strong ability to read and interpret GD&T requirements from complex geometry drawings
- Strong ability to create and review technical documentation and reports
- Capable of working under pressure
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Experience with and understanding of manufacturing machine shop and press shop process
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- General knowledge of ISO/QMS requirements preferred
