The compositing Supervisor manages the compositing team, ensures the quality of the work and contributes to the development of the compositing pipeline. Managing and supervising the team of compositors, briefing them and providing constructive feedback will be the main focus of the supervisor role. Being able to ensure consistency and develop production methodologies, creative approaches and problem-solving play a big part of the position. In addition to managing the project as a whole, the Compositing Supervisor also monitors each shot and also complete and deliver compositing shots when necessary to the project.
**Responsibilities**:
- You must have a minimum of 5 years VFX industry experience in supervisory roles
- Work closely with production to schedule work
- Take responsibility for the quality of the work of the team as a whole
- Work proactively and collaboratively with all other VFX and support departments
- Solve any difficult technical and artistic compositing challenges of a shot or sequence
- Take a leadership role in guiding the longer-term goals of the 2D department, covering both building up a team of Compositors as well as 2D pipeline development
Job requirements:
- Deep understanding of film VFX processes and pipeline
- Several years experience in Compositing predominantly in film or TV and commercials
- Expert user of Nuke plus other compositing software
- Critical eye for detail, and be able to communicate visual aspects to the team
- Able to work well under pressure
- Proven artist management and leadership skills
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: $6,000.00-$10,000.00 per month
