Barber

**Overview**

This is a brand new barbershop set to launch January 13th. The shop is an extension off another of our already successful business which is a coffee roastery and cafe and will have a door connecting the two together. This will give opportunity to clients to grab a beverage and or meal before or after their appointment and bring in lots of clientele for the shop. The shop is called Ki’s garage, a mechanic themed barbershop located in the heart of an industrial park with over 1,500 blue collar workers who work on the same street daily. We are also centrally Located in the community of Plateau with hundreds of apartment building and homes to which we will be servicing as well. Not to mention, located right beside the entrance of the Gatineau park.

Located in a garage style unit, to fit the mechanic theme your work station will be styled as a mechanic shop with tool boxes as your work bench, white marble epoxy floors, bright hexagonal LED lights on the ceiling and much more that will create the mechanic shop persona. You will have the luxury of having your very own work station that is not shared with any other barbers.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform haircuts, shaves, and grooming services tailored to clients' preferences.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by following proper sanitation protocols.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on styles and products.
- Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance the client experience.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and handling payments.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and grooming techniques.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Barber or in a similar role within the beauty industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of hair styling techniques and trends.
- Ability to sanitize tools and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
- Experience in retail sales is a plus, particularly in upselling products or services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
- A valid barbering license as required by state regulations.

This position is a commission based salary or minimum wage, whichever is highest. We offer competitive commission rates based off industry standard. Commission will be factored by experience, current client book and knowledge. Be rightfully compensated for the work you put in, the harder you work the more you make.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $32,760.00-$100,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
