We are seeking a Music Therapy Instructor to provide unique technique and support to students at the W. Ross Macdonald School in Brantford for students who are blind, low-vision and visually impaired.

**About the job**: In this role you will:

- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate music therapy programs for students who are blind, low-vision and visually impaired, within an individual or group format, as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide training, educational, and consultative services to staff, students, and community.
- Assess student needs.
- Maintain clinical records.
- Participate in the development of departmental policies, procedures, and services.
- Participate and conduct research projects, audit, and quality assurance activities.
- Supervise students' training and evaluate their performance.
- Conduct seminars and workshops

**What you bring to the team**:
**Mandatory requirements**:

- Post-secondary degree in Music Therapy from an accredited university or equivalent.
- Willingness to participate in First Aid, CPR and Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training or equivalent.

**Skills and Qualifications**: Your background and experience enable you to meet the following requirements:

- You have knowledge of music therapy and treatment techniques for students with visual impairment plus developmental disabilities and emotional behavioural disorders.
- You have experience working with students with visual impairment.
- You have demonstrated consultation, organization, and project management skills.
- You have advanced presentation skills.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders.
