Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Inspector will be responsible for accurately locating underground Gas facilities and ensuring compliance with regulations and documentation procedures.

Please note that this is a full time, unionized position. Hourly rate ranges from $27 to $37 per hour depending on the level of experience and skill set.

**What You’ll Do Here**

  • Locate underground Gas facilities accurately using utility mapping software and electronic locating equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Enbridge regulations.
  • Understand, prioritize, and respond to work requests dispatched by office.
  • Understand and manipulate utility records (review identify and interpret).
  • Review and interpret schematics/blueprints/composites.
  • Effectively identify and document utility location and follow proper documentation procedures.
  • Assure the co-ordination between contractor(s) and all on-site personnel are met with Enbridge’s requirements and guidelines.
  • Identify potential safety concerns for installation crews and public.
  • Complete audits/verification of field records and installations.
  • Perform locate verification for crews.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

**What you bring to the Team**

  • Graduate from the Civil Engineering/ Technologist / Construction Management programs.
  • A Minimum of 3 years of locating experience is required for this role.
  • Experience in vital main inspection/locating underground gas facilities is a strong asset.
  • Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
  • Computer skills - MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn job specific software.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Valid Ontario (G) driver’s license with a clean driving record.
