Maintaining clean, sanitary condition in assigned areas as directed according to established standards.
- Performing deep cleaning in resident rooms, washrooms, dining rooms and common areas including beds, nightstands, toilets, sinks, floors and other resident room furniture and items
- Sweep and mop and clean office and nursing station areas including desktop surfaces including telephones, photocopiers, computers, equipment, etc.
- On feet for majority of shift
- Pushing, pulling and lifting as required.
- May have to stand on step ladders to reach high places
- Subject to reaction from heavy dust or housekeeping disinfectant solutions
- Exposed regularly to infection when entering resident rooms
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Where required
- Utilize the 4 moments of hand hygiene as per policy and education
