**Energy Modeling Specialist**

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Use energy modeling softwares, including RETScreen Expert® and eQuest
- Develop, review, and maintain building energy models for clients and projects across multiple sectors, including recreational, residential, and commercial buildings
- Perform building energy audits to support energy management efforts
- Work with the data team to integrate real building energy data into models as required
- Work with project teams to develop and present building energy solutions to support RFPs
- Ensure that deliverables related to energy models adhere to funding program rules/guidelines
- Develop other technical documents and deliverables, including life cycle assessments, emissions inventories, and financial models
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate key findings and improve proposals
- Participate in workshops, conferences and meetings

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post -Secondary Education in related field with 3-5 years related work experience
- Qualifications related to building energy, such as Certified Energy Manager/Auditor training
- Certified RETScreen Expert® training, or demonstrated competence with RETScreen Expert® software
- Proficiency with other energy modeling softwares, life cycle assessment, and/or energy management principles
- Familiarity with government and academic funding opportunities is an asset
- Skilled technical writing, proof-reading, editing, copy writing, grant writing or equivalent written communication format
- Possess good organizational skills, time management and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision. The role requires a self-starter driven by obtaining results
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and computer skills.
- Business acumen capable of developing new business opportunities

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
