Student Ambassador, Aboriginal Student Services

**This posting will be used to fill approximately 2-3 positions**
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide campus tours to visitors or student groups on the University of Winnipeg facilities and Aboriginal Student Services.
- Represent the Aboriginal Student Services Centre at various Career Fairs, The University of Winnipeg Open House and presentations with the ASSC Aboriginal Liaison Officer.
- Visits classrooms both on and off campus to provide personal experience with the University of Winnipeg and Aboriginal Student Services Centre.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Ability to work September 2024 - April 2025, approximately 0 - 34 hours per month.
- Must be a full-time student in the 2024 - 25 academic year at The University of Winnipeg.
- Knowledge of the University of Winnipeg programs and services.
- Knowledge and familiarity of the Aboriginal Student Services Centre programs and services would be an asset.
- Demonstrates a sensitivity and understanding of the diverse academic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of our student population.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills will be considered.

**Condition(s) of Employment**:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must be a full-time student. Full-time students are defined as a student enrolled in the current academic year in a high school or at the University of Winnipeg in a full-time program of study as defined in the University of Winnipeg General Calendar.
