Edmonton, Canada Youth Unlimited Edmonton Full time

Do you enjoy: being with people, playing games and having fun, being creative and crafty, engaging in meaningful conversations, and creating a welcoming place for others to belong? May you even be looking for a place to develop leadership and mentoring skills?

**You belong at Youth Unlimited Edmonton - investing in the lives of at-risk youth one conversation at a time.**

Our afterschool drop-in centers are designed to create a space where all youth ages 12-18 are welcome. A space where you can bring your passions and skills and invest in youth who need to know there are adults who care.

- Engage with the youth through various sports and physical activities.
- Build relationships with the youth through the common connection of the activity.
- Foster attitudes of cooperation, sportsmanship, and inclusion over the competition.
- Welcome and include ALL youth in the activities, including those who might not be naturally athletic and not normally engage in physical activity as a result.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and controlled environment in the gym.
- Arrive early enough to do any necessary setup for sports activities.
- Stay for half an hour after the program to clean up and debrief with the rest of the leadership team.

Time Commitment:

- Drop-ins run from 3:30-6 pm every day after school across the city. We would love you to be at as many as you are comfortable with, or even just one day a week makes a huge impact

- 2 hours, 2x per year for training/appreciation.

As a relationally focused program, you and your presence matter. Youth are looking for a role model and leader like you. So, if you want to take on a volunteer role with us, commitment is important. Relationships are built on stability.
