**We are seeking a Full-Time Decor Lead Hand: Day Shift (8-hours).**
We are seeking a passionate, creative and dynamic individual with an above average work ethic to support and lead our Décor & Plastics Manufacturing Team.
**Position Overview**:
Responsible in assisting the Décor & Print Supervisor in the overall growth of all manufacturing activities and success of the division. Success is measured through, employee health and safety, job security and job satisfaction; government regulatory and legal compliance; quality and customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and profitability.
**What YOU will be doing**:
- Supervise work of others in compliance with legal requirements and company policies & practices
- Play a leadership role in coaching, developing, and motivating all production employees in order that they may perform their functions at a world-class level in a positive, productive and professional environment which fosters teamwork and mutual respect
- Lead and coach production employees to help accomplish budget and timing goals, improve quality, maintain employee morale and improve work environment
- Take a proactive role in helping to overcome operational problems encountered in the normal course of business
- Monitor quality on an ongoing basis including promptly responding to situations requiring attention
- Assist staff with any quality challenges encountered
- Monitor and assess, recommend employee training and continued training
- Ensure that housekeeping procedures are followed to maintain a world-class facility
- Assist in implementation of various systems and processes
- Communicate with other lead hands, supervisors, managers, interacting with other departments to ensure proper flow is maintained throughout production facilities
- Assist in maintaining inventory of production supplies and materials in a cost-effective manner
- Work with management and production employees to establish schedules to ensure customer satisfaction and 100% on time delivery
**What we are looking for in YOU**:
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a print, plastics or signage manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, as required
- Demonstrated success with continuous improvement and team building
- Comfortable operating machine tools, pneumatic nail guns and measuring equipment
- Experienced with woodworking machinery
- “Get it done”, hands-on approach and attitude
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed work instruction
- Knowledge of materials, hardware, and signage manufacturing methodology
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software
**It would be a bonus/asset if you had the following also**:
- Experience in lean manufacturing
- Possession of updated First Aid Certification
- Updated forklift license

We are in Paris, ON, off Highway 403, 10 minutes from downtown Brantford. Easy access from Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Burlington, Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Woodstock.
