We're looking for a Head of Capital to join our Finance team in Montreal. You will be responsible for defining the vision and leading the strategy for our global Lightspeed Capital Operations team.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Refine risk strategies in order to maximize our merchants eligibility to Lightspeed Capital, while maintaining defaults within acceptable range.
- Optimize performance and grow revenue.
- Make appropriate investment recommendations based on all information available. Owns our Lightspeed Capital investment strategy.
- Manage and monitor the documentation for existing portfolio. Prepares executive summary for risk committee and higher management.
- Identify gaps, threats, and opportunities in our processes and products.
- Develop mitigation strategies, product recommendations and feature enhancements to address weaknesses and improve our systems.
- Work closely with stakeholders to implement credit loss & fraud prevention solutions.
- Own Lightspeed's suite of risk monitoring tools, maintaining existing partnerships, sourcing new external tools, using existing analytics and building internal tooling as necessary.
- Provide innovative solutions to meet the ever changing risk management environment.
- Ensure we have the right team structure and size to deliver on demands from the business.
- Ensure technical considerations are communicated, and implementation conforms with design, long-term objectives, and enterprise architecture.

**What you need to bring**:
We're a team of 10 people located in North America. This group is in hyper-growth mode, seeking for an experienced leader who can bring this business to the next level, owning yield optimization, financial risk strategies and market expansion.
- Experience leading in a fintech environment.
- Experience scaling an operational business.
- Practical understanding of data science (segmentation, modelling, etc.)
- Credit risk experience.
- At least 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management.
