Nexelis, a Q2 Solutions Company keeps growing and we are looking for a motivated Associate Scientist II to evaluate the immunogenicity and efficacy of new vaccine mandates and perform further immunological assays. This role requires knowledge of immunological techniques such as MesoScale Discovery (MSD), Luminex, ELISA.
Nexelis is a contract research organization (CRO) that performs trial development, qualification and validation, and clinical sample analysis services to support the clinical development of vaccines and biotherapeutics. If you join our team, you will have the chance to participate in the daily life of the most successful advanced testing service provider in the immunology field. Involved in more than 15 SARS-CoV-2 vaccine developments in partnership with multinational pharmaceutical companies, innovative biotechnology companies and prestigious NGOs such as Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation or CEPI, we also proudly serve the needs of our clients in fields such as Flu (universal and seasonal), meningitis, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), chikungunya, malaria, or HPV and are growing an immune-oncology franchise.
**Your main responsibilities**:
- Autonomous and proficient in multiple assay types from sample preparation to data generation (such as ELISA, MSD or Luminex);
- Responsible for assays in the laboratory based on training and competencies, and can be assigned to conduct assay development & validation and/or sample analysis;
- Appropriately execute method standard operating procedure (SOP), ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation;
- Follow general SOP and good laboratory practice (GLP) and good clinical practices (GCP) as applicable;
- Completing supplementary information forms as needed to complete documentation;
- Stay up to date on new SOPs, procedures, and techniques via training sessions, team meetings and internal communication avenues;
- Communicate potential problems that could impact quality of the work performed in the laboratory and data reliability and discusses appropriately with line manager;
- Performs assigned tasks in a timely manner;
- Respecting Health and Safety standards in terms of personal protection, laboratory maintenance, and work procedures;
- Observes all company guidelines and policies;
- All other related tasks as assigned
**What we are looking for**:
- Bachelor's degree and/or University degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology or another appropriate field.
- 1 year of related experience in method or assay development or specific methodology area.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attentive to details.
- Manual dexterity.
- ** Good communication (both written and verbal in French & English).
