Qualifications:

- You need to know how to drive A Class 5 drivers license with a couple years of experience is the absolute best for this role. Your license needs to be free of major infractions.
- You need to enjoy working outdoors. An “Outdoor” technician works in the hot sun, cool fall, and sometimes in the bone chilling cold It’s not that bad, but you have to be ready to work in all elements.
- Physical fitness is important. You do not need to run marathons or lift school busses, but you do need to be able to lift 40 pounds, bend, stretch, use your arms and legs, to man handle equipment, climb ladders, dig trenches, and do it all for extended periods of time.
- We need people who are not scared of heights, water, bugs, and hard work. No seriouslyIf you are scared of bugs and heights, then we have a problem.

**Duties**:
An Outdoor Service Technician works on all things outdoors on residential and commercial properties. “It’s a Life Style Thing” is our mantra to help encourage our customer’s own Life Styles. Duties for this role include:

- **Landscape Maintenance** - cutting lawns, trimming plants, chemically treating for weeds, hand pulling weeds, fertilizing landscapes to make everything green, clean, and inviting
- **Landscape Construction** - building and creating landscape enhancements from the installation of minor planting, to rehabilitating overgrown jungles that once were small and delicate flower beds.
- **Irrigation Maintenance** - we use water to make things green and grow. Irrigation is a BIG part of our business. This a technical position that requires problem solving of plumbing, electrical, and landscape systems. It is truly the TECHNICIAN of Outdoor Service Technicians.
- **Holiday Lighting** - we bring colour and joy to the outdoors during the holiday season. You need a great eye for details and a willingness to push past any issues with heights.
- **Snow Removal**- it’s the task that requires the most flexibility as there is no set schedule. You work when the weather is bad and get time off during those nice chinook days. Clearing snow is extremely important to our clients as they rely on us to make it safe for them to get around their property.

Pay:
Previous experience is not required, but a good attitude and enthusiasm is a MUST

Our apprenticeship program consists of in-house training, online training, hands-on training, 3rd party training, industry courses and seminars, and ample leadership training.

Process:

- Complete additional questionnaire when short listed.
- Complete an in-person interview.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

- Alberta Class 5 driver license (required)
