Private Equity Intern

Partner One Capital, a leading private equity firm that specializes in the acquisition of enterprise software companies, is seeking a mature and motivated Winter intern (Jan - Apr ). The position is ideal for undergraduate and graduate students from various educational backgrounds who are interested in entrepreneurship and investing. The intern will be responsible for operations of portfolio companies and research and evaluation of investment opportunities. The duration of the internship will be 4 months. The intern will gain valuable experience in entrepreneurship and operations by working closely with portfolio companies while building a directly applicable skill set in private equity investments.
**Responsibilities**
A typical day of an intern will be split between the following tasks:
- Screening of investment opportunities
- Data analysis in excel
- Production of outreach letters for targeted businesses
- Phone calls with business owners and business brokers
- Assistance and document management for due diligence projects
**Requirements**:
- Strong work ethic, outgoing, and self-motivated
- Leadership Skills
- Entrepreneurial Mindset
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to effectively work in a team
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- A good understanding of financial statements
**Preferred, but not required**
- Involvement in extracurricular activities at school
- Prior experience in private equity, management consulting or investment banking
- Financial modeling skills
