The Clean Team contributes daily to the Regina Downtown Business Improvement District’s Clean and Safe Program by performing maintenance and cleaning tasks that help to provide a clean and safe environment. They are responsible for the removal of litter, debris and trash and its disposal in designated areas. Safe removal and disposal of syringes. Documenting, reporting and removal of light graffiti. Safely operate a sidewalk sweeper, pressure washer and utility vehicle. Clean Team Members are expected to greet everyone in a polite and friendly fashion and are willing to lend a helping hand.

This position also provides support and assistance to RDBID office staff by assisting at downtown events and conducting deliveries on behalf of RDBID.

**Reporting**:
The Clean Team Member reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Clean Team Member reports to the Operations Manager.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**1. Board of Directors (provides assistance to Maintenance Supervisor)**

a. Distribute relevant material/information to Board members and to RDBID members when requested by the Maintenance Supervisor.

**2. Program Coordination**

a. Maintain accurate reporting that tracks requirements requested by the Maintenance Supervisor for weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual reports.

b. Develop and maintain relationships with Downtown members to enhance and promote the services provided by the Clean Team.

**3. Special Projects, in coordination with the Maintenance Supervisor**

a. Assist with key partner organizations in preparing for events held in the Downtown.

b. Provide litter clean up and maintenance in City Square prior to and after Regina Downtown signature events

c. Provide litter clean up and maintenance on City Square Plaza to accommodate Food Truck services before, during and after lunch hours

**4. Clean Team**

a. Adhere to guidelines for reporting to work.

b. Adhere to uniform requirements including all safety equipment.

c. Operate and maintain the pressure washer as per the weekly work schedule, weather permitting.

d. Pick up litter and debris, including cigarette butts within the RDBID boundaries.

e. Dispose of all litter in appointed or designated areas.

f. Aid in documentation, reporting and removal of light graffiti within the RDBID boundaries.

g. Safely remove and dispose of syringes within the RDBID boundaries.

h. Conduct ongoing inspections of public areas in downtown to identify risks or threats to public health and safety. Report these to the Maintenance Supervisor.

i. Distribute patio tables, chairs and umbrellas for public use prior to and during the lunch hour for patrons using the City Square Plaza.

**5. Administration**

a. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with special projects and duties as required.

b. Provide assistance to other RDBID staff members at the request of the Maintenance Supervisor.

c. Attend and participate in all staff meetings.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
The Clean Team Member must possess strong teamwork, good problem solving and communication skills and be able to establish effective working relationships with many different people. They must be capable of working independently and effectively with mínimal supervision. They must be physically capable of performing heavy lifting and working outdoors for extended periods of time. Previous cleaning and maintenance experience is an asset but not required.

Some knowledge of Downtown Regina is required.
