As the System Analyst, you will contribute to supporting the ongoing evolution of our systems infrastructure. You will work within the Lab and IT Services team to provide ongoing internal user support for our tools and mentorship to students through our successful co-op student program.

This position will require you to work in our Kanata office on a regular basis and is best suited if you are located within the National Capital region.

**What you will do**
- Install, configure, support and maintain existing system hardware and software
- Participate in the planning and selecting of Rockport’s data center infrastructure as we continue to evolve
- Manage, modify and create end user accounts, permissions, access rights with security and confidentiality being the highest priority
- Respond to internal user support requests (ticketing system and phone calls)
- Engage with engineering department to troubleshoot and provide solutions to technical issues
- Maintain VMware, QA Automation and Devops environments

**What you bring**
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration role
- Post-secondary diploma in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or related hands-on experience
- In depth knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu and VMware
- Having experience with Ansible, Proxmox, and handling optical fiber is an asset
- Ability to work independently and well under pressure
- Solid understanding of networking principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience
- Strong troubleshooting and the ability to find solutions when they do not easily present themselves
- Excellent documentation skills
