**TMSI Ltd**, is a container transportation company based in Dartmouth NS specializing in commercial cargo transportation between Atlantic Canada and Newfoundland. We have an immediate opening for a Dispatch Coordinator in our Dartmouth office.

**Job Duties**:

- Scheduling drivers to make freight deliveries or collect shipments and packages
- Administrative support as required to support fleet purchasing
- Provide assistance and support to management and staff
- Cross training to cover vacation time
- Preparing dispatch documents, as well as generating freight bills and invoices
- Planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed
- Maintaining records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times
- motivated and able to in a fast-paced environment, can work well under pressure. Must have the ability to work with team members and independently. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be self-directed, organized and have problem-solving skills.
- Must have previous experience in a dispatch & planning role for midsize fleet
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Strong Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Comfortable using database management systems
- French is an asset
- Container and or marine experience an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Positive disposition.

Working hours vary depending on terminal work load. TMSI Ltd offers a competitive salary and benefits package based on your skills and experience.
