- Join a team of forward thinking, enthusiastic, results-driven and collaborative professionals. To support our mission we are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in Vancouver.**The role will require but not be limited to**:
Effective head contract management including supporting the Project Manager by providing timely and accurate advice regarding head contract rights and obligations.

Prepare contractual correspondence and notices and assist in the preparation and submission of head contract progress claims in compliance with contractual timeframes and requirements.

Establish and ensure maintenance of commercial and contract systems including project costs reporting, registers (ie. variations, EOTs etc) and commercial databases

Responsible for driving effective change management practices on the project including being the owner of the nominated change management system.

Attend head contract meetings as required and provide input into internal and external month end reporting requirements.

Maintain awareness of the programme, actual progress and contract completion obligations so that any obligations/changes in this regard can be managed in a timely manner

Coordinate / manage contract deliverables (provision / return of security, evidence of insurance etc.) for both Head Contract and Subcontracts

Implement ad-hoc processes and procedures with the Project Team that are required to manage risk and ensure contemporaneous key information / data is recorded to maximise claim recovery

Support and assist with the preparation and input into internal and external month end reporting requirements (forecast revenue / budget tracking/ progress/ variations / valued claims etc.);
Provide timely and accurate advice to Package Managers regarding contractual rights, obligations and strategies to support compliance with subcontract conditions and inform decision-making and overall management of subcontracts.

Provide support and assistance to Project Manager and package owners through tender, negotiation and implementation stages including cost analysis, commercial contract conditions/drafting, and liaise with the relevant group functions to support effective project outcomes

Assist in the assessment and management of subcontractor claims (variation, EOT etc.) from a contractual perspective, provide advice on claims management and assist in drafting of contractual correspondence in compliance with relevant subcontract provisions.

Assess commercial and contractual risks involved in the delivery and implementation of the project, and identify/implement controls

**What are we looking for**

This role will require someone who has 10+ years’ experience in Contract Management in the construction /mining industry and experience in both head contract and subcontract administration. You will also have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced environment where there is constant deadline pressure.
