Our NOVONIX Battery Technology Solutions division, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, focuses on innovative battery research and development, along with providing advanced battery testing equipment and services on a global scale. In Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA, our Anode Materials division manufactures our synthetic graphite anode materials used to make lithium-ion batteries which power electric vehicles, personal electronics, medical devices, energy storage units, and more.

**Role summary**:
This person will report directly to the Manager, R&D at the Dartmouth location, and will operate various laboratory processing equipment. This role is crucial to the development of cathode materials for market. **The hours for this position are 6 nights in a row ON and 8 nights in a row OFF, working 7 PM to 7 AM with an hour unpaid lunch. This type of schedule will be great for the right person. Over half the year OFF**

**Responsibilities include**:

- Able to work 12-hour night shifts (see shift schedule above)
- Following SOPs for the safe and proper use of processing equipment
- Maintaining equipment according to SOPs and direction from a Research Engineer
- Reporting any issues with equipment to the Research Engineer
- Working in a laboratory setting
- Knowledge of chemical handling, preferred
