**Job Description**:
Reporting to the Director of Service & Production Planning, the primary role of the Production Planning Manager is to oversee the Production Planning and Scheduling at all Techo-Bloc manufacturing facilities across Canada and the United States. The Production Planning Manager is responsible to oversee the execution of our Master Plan which involves planning plant capacities based on pre-established forecasts and scheduling/sequencing production according to our inventory related objectives and KPIs. This role involves leading, mentoring and developing the skillsets of 5-7 Production Planners.

The Production Planning Manager requires close communication and collaboration with the Executive team, Sales, Customer service, Finance as well as the Demand and Distribution Planning Managers. This role will entail being heavily involved in the sales and operations plan (S&OP) with the leaders of the above-mentioned departments or functions.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead, mentor and develop the skillsets of 5-7 Production Planners.
- Establish the capacity plan required to attain growth forecasts, including product mix per plant (1,000 +- SKUs in total), profitable distribution strategies etc.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations to properly plan and ensure long-term raw material and equipment availability required to attain and produce to our forecast.
- Oversee our planning and production scheduling processes and implement best practices to ensure that decision making is in line with our efficiency and planning-related objectives.
- Establish, monitor, and oversee the attainment of your team’s Service Level objectives (stock is available when ordered or required).
- Establish targets and monitor the attainment of production delivery dates (promised availability dates to clients).
- Analyze and implement actions to reduce liability for excess and obsolete product.
- Identify and assist in resolving conflicts with supply, demand, and availability of capacity.
- Participate in product life cycles such as forecasts for new products and identifying products that should be discontinued.
- Participate and act as the super user for the department in the implementation of the new ERP project.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, or any other related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in demand planning and analytics.
- Master Planning experience in a multi-site environment.
- Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiencies.
- Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
- Proven leadership skills including proactive communication/collaboration with company leaders.
- Very high attention to details and commitment in meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, cubes, graphs etc.)
- APICS - CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) is an asset.
- Valid passport and availability to travel if needed (approx. 3-5 times yearly).
