Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Meat Clerk to join our team at a Safeway Lawson Heights. As a Meat Clerk you will be responsible for preparing and working with various types of meats for our customers. This is a fast-paced and customer-focused role that requires excellent food preparation skills and a strong attention to detail.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and Serve different cuts of meat, such as beef, pork, and poultry
- Ensure proper portioning and presentation of meat dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with customers and answering any questions they may have about the meat selection
- Collaborate with the staff to ensure timely preparation and deliver the best.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in meat carving or butchery, is preferred
- Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and their cooking methods
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle sharp objects safely
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely preparation of meat dishes
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $14.89-$24.75 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 37 per week
