**Description:
**The FCNQ is recruiting Do you want to put your knowledge and leadership to good use? We have the perfect opportunity for you in the West Island

You will have to play an important role in the northern supply chain for our 14 cooperatives located in Nunavik. You will help support daily operations and contribute to the development of a united team where each of us works in a spirit of collaboration and mutual support with an open and cohesive approach, rallying behind decisions aimed at achieving our common goals and initiatives.

La Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec is owned by its fourteen member co-ops in the Inuit communities of Nunavik. FCNQ was established in 1967 to provide the rapidly growing cooperative movement with more effective powers and services to help attain their vision “Atautsikut” Together—working to develop as a people, leaving none behind.

Under the authority of the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for all logistics regarding the receipt and shipment of merchandise and coordinate the employees of the department.

**Responsabilities**:

- Coordinate the team for general distribution merchandise;
- Identify labour needs for the distribution department and administer work schedules;
- Plan the hiring and training of employees of the department;
- Train new office clerks;
- Coordinate and approve timesheets and data entry into the computer system;
- Maintain the inventory of equipment necessary for the workforce;
- Ensure a good working atmosphere and that employees respect OHS standards;
- Ensure that orders are made on time, in order to respect payment terms and manage shipment priorities according to the seasons;
- Register firearms with the Québec Firearms Registration Service;
- Ensure that the orders to the co-ops are closed following the shipment of goods;
- Examine, verify and reconcile by comparing invoices or other documents related to the merchandise;
- Communicate with buyers in order to resolve the various problems concerning their merchandise;
- Assist other team leaders and assistant team leaders during changes in the improvement of the work systems;
- See to the improvement and resolution of IT problems concerning the quality of service of the work systems;
- Participate in special projects;
- Any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- AEC in transport logistics (DEP is an asset);
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar position;
- Have five (5) years of experience in personnel management;
- Holder of a licence authorizing the acquisition and possession of firearms (an asset);
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel);
- First aid training in the workplace (an asset);
- Excellent knowledge of the laws concerning the transportation of dangerous goods;
- Able to communicate in French and English, both verbally and written;
- Organized, motivated and recognized for priority management, stress management and leadership.

**Note:
**Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
