We specialize in water damage, fire and smoke restoration services; mold inspection and removal as well as damage restoration and disaster recovery. As general contractors, we also specialize in construction, renovation, demolition and other services.

**The Position**:Skilled Laborer****:

- **WINMAR® Property Restoration is expanding and looking for energetic and self-motivated employees to join our team. This position is full time, and offers a competitive wage based on experience and expertise. General Responsibilities and Performance Expectations include:

- Perform activities including light to medium repairs, demolition and general cleaning as needed
- Cut, measure, and install job related materials as per scope of work
- Safely uses hand and power tools
- Assist Journeyman and Apprentice trades as required
- Ensure work is completed according to measurements, specifications, drawings, plans or other production materials/instructions
- Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may, or are affecting completion of job to the appropriate person
- May assist with Water / Flood and Contents duties as required
- Participate as directed in the following activities:

- Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
- Maintaining vehicles in clean serviceable condition
- Constructing polyethylene enclosures
- Emergency board up / secure of premise
- Removing and disposing of debris
- Maintaining equipment
- Will always practice good housekeeping to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite
- Provide excellent customer service
- Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
- Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information
- Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment
- Comply with all WINMAR® policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements

**Qualification**:

- Construction / Restoration / Insurance experience preferred
- Forklift Certification considered an asset
- Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles, and practices
- Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per WINMAR®’s vehicle policy
- Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience
- Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested
- Periodic travel may be required
- Criminal Record Check

**Are you “The Right Person”? **A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Knowledge in the property restoration industry is an asset. Certification with the IICRC is an asset, but not required.

**Salary**: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
