NOV is actively hiring an individual Yard Swamper in Nisku, Alberta. The person hired will be responsible for assisting the Picker Operator in the loading, unloading and general transportation of tubular products. The position will assist our team in supporting our Yard Labor; unloading, loading, racking, and various duties related to Yard Maintenance.

**Essential Job Responsibilities**:

- The duties include loading and unloading Oilfield Multi Wheel Picker and Winch Truck & Trailer combinations with a Gross Vehicle Weight above 40,000 kgs. Primary cargo is oilfield tubular products and miscellaneous oilfield equipment.
- The yard duties include loading/unloading trucks and railcars, tallying and racking pipes, and other incoming and outgoing materials. Responsibilities include but not limited to: using hands and essential equipment to unload pipe, collaring pipe, using a crowbar to push and pull the pipes to tighten the rack.
- The driving of Commercial Vehicles - Truck and Trailer with Class 5 License to fill-in as Courier and Hot Shot Driver.
- Responsible for pre
- and post-trip and daily equipment inspections.
- Maintain Daily Logbook.
- We are available to work irregular shifts on an on-call basis as we are a 24-hour operation, and Swappers/Yard Labor/Drivers must respond to call-ins within 2 hours.
- Assist the driver(s) with installing tire chains used primarily off-highway and other tasks assigned by the Truck Operator.
- Responsible for load securement consistent with company policies and NSC requirements.
- Be capable of heavy lifting, climbing, reaching, bending.
- Participate in training programs as required by the Company.
- All other duties as assigned

**Qualification Requirements**:

- High school education
- Valid Alberta Class Five Operators License

**Competencies Required**:

- Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures

**Technical Requirements**:

- Satisfactory completion of the Company’s orientation training
- First-Aid
- H2S Alive
- NOV Drive
- WHMIS and TDG (Company Specific)

**HSE Requirements**:

- Work is performed in vehicle, yard, and offsite environments. Possibility to be exposed to Hydrogen Sulfide and changes of temperature/humidity
- Physical requirements: squatting, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 32 kilograms, reaching, twisting, crawling, ladder work, climbing, walking on rough ground, and working near moving equipment
- Required to at all times wear proper protective clothing and equipment and perform duties in a safe manner
