Stance Healthcare has an immediate opening for a Production Associate at our Kitchener facility on a straight day shift.
**Position Summary**:
The Production Associates in our Pre-Production Department are integral members of the Stance Healthcare Production team. As a member of this department, the Production Associate must be adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and be able to communicate in a professional manner with all other teams, including but not limited to: Assembly, Sewing, Upholstery, and Warehouse.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Read instructions and work orders in order to follow established procedures
- Take precise measurements to ensure components have a perfect fit
- Glue foam pieces to wooden components using a spray gun
- Check finished parts to ensure quality
- Maintain equipment to ensure it remains in good working order
- Keep records of production quantities and times
- Report production issues, equipment malfunction and/or defective parts
- Select hardware according to measurements and specifications
- Affix webbing materials to frames using a staple gun
- Use hand and power tools to build sub-assemblies
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Participate in problem solving initiatives
- Work continuously to eliminate waste, increase capacity, and improve productivity
- Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Health & Safety Manual
- Work safely to reduce the risk of injury to self, co-workers and customers
- Cross training in other departments
- Other duties as required
- Demonstrated mechanical capabilities/aptitude
- Experience using various hand tools/air tools/power tools, etc.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent hand eye coordination
- Enthusiastic team player
- Positive attitude & desire to learn
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
