Power Source Instruments Inc. (PSI) is a leading distributor of premium industrial and utility high voltage test equipment and electrical products for the Canadian utility market. Based in Ontario, we work closely with the utility industry and are the primary distributors in Canada for tops brands.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced **Outside Technical Sales Representative** (Western Canada) responsible for enterprise wide and development of new sales and supporting our existing customer base. The position seeks new business opportunities out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Build and manage relationships with new and existing customers
- Presenting sales proposals to potential customers
- Provide professional, effective and efficient technical solutions for customer inquiries and concerns
- Receive ongoing technical training support - both internally and through suppliers
- Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold calling if necessary
- Demonstrate effective communication skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets
- Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts
- Ensure that sales targets are consistently met
- Perform product demonstrations at trade shows and online seminars; delivers marketing/sales presentations and participates in other events as necessary

- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Above average customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- CRM experience
- Salesforce
- Ability to identify and follow up on leads
- Willing to demonstrate products (approx.30lbs)
**Requirements**:
- Bilingual an asset (English/French)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Valid G class driver’s license and a willingness to travel extensively
**Education**:
- Diploma or Degree in a technical discipline, equivalent knowledge and/or experience in the utility industry
