We have been providing customized, high-quality work that has beautified outdoor environments in and around the Collingwood community since 2015. A Landscape assistant is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (generally physical labor) to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects. The landscape assistant will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specific job tasks.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- G license is an asset, but not required. Must be able to get to and from our yard in Stayner
- Personally organized to report for work daily, prepared for the weather, with enough food and fluids for the day

5 skills (you are able and willing to);
- Interpret information (capable of taking verbal instructions into action for task completion)
- Lift 50 pounds lift and carry up to 20 pounds and work physically all day (ie walking, bending, crouching, standing, kneeling)
- Fast moving work in fast moving environment and asks questions
- Be a dependable team player who shows up everyday and on time
- Consistently tries to improve

JOB DUTIES:
1. Follow instructions and work along side of Foreman & supervisors, performing general landscape construction tasks which include but are not limited to; rake shovel landscape materials, help to position and lay bricks, position and plant trees and shrubs, lay sod, sweep patio areas and worksites ect

2. Takes care in unloading and reloading tools from the trailer. Promptly reports damaged, broken or missing tools to supervisor

3. Works with teammates to ensure start and end of day checklists are completed

4. Keeps track of daily start and finish times to compare with supervisors log

5. Ensure sites cleaned and material storage is organized daily

6. Trailer daily checklist completed.

7. Machine maintenance completed, tracks cleaned, cab tidy ect

WORK CONDITIONS:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Job requires good manual dexterity and stamina
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- No weekends
