**THE OPPORTUNITY**
Ram Iron & Metal is looking for a competent and experienced **Truck Driver AZ**to join our Team. The Truck Driver, under the direction of the General Manager will be responsible for managing our pick-up and drop off loads within the GTA and surrounding areas.

**OVERVIEW**
**RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITES**
- Conduct pre-operational inspection and post-operational inspection of the truck using digital inspection form.
- Report any unsafe conditions or issues during the service calls.
- Responsible for the safe operations of assigned fleet vehicle.
- Timely transportation of our bins/loads to and from our client sites.
- Maintain regular communication with Logistics Department.
- Use automated tarping systems, and occasionally perform manual tarping.
- Ensure loads and bins are secured prior to travelling on public roadways and highways.
- Input details of deliveries, pickups and other activities associated with each service call.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the truck(s).
- In the event of a spill, perform timely response, notification, and documentation.
- Perform minor routine maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, changing filters, etc.
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients answering questions and addressing any concerns.
- Other duties as required, not limited to responsibilities listed above.
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Valid AZ driver’s license.
- Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience (Roll-Off or Lugger an asset).
- Knowledge of metals is an asset.
- Must have trailer and manual truck driving experience (18-speed transmissions).
- Must have a clean Driver’s Abstract / CVOR and verified for insurability.
- Willing to work extended and flexible hours as required.
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English.
- Comfortable using a cell phone, tablet, and CB radio.

**WORKING ENVIRONMENT**
The working environment is busy and fast paced, with regular and ongoing interactions with colleagues, management, and the public at large. There may be frequent interruptions, and from time to time be noisy. The employee must have knowledge of how to manage their own personal safety under these conditions.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to be able to lift up to and including 50lbs, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and reach with arms/hands. Walking, walking up/down stairs, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items is occasionally required.
