**Position: General Labourer**

**Reports to**:Production Supervisor

**Direct Reports**: This position has no direct reports.

**Position Summary**:
General labourer duties vary depending on the department they work in and their level of specialization.

**Position Duties**:

**Responsibilities**:

- Keep manufacturing areas free of debris and dirt and set out or put away tools.
- Follow instructions from more experienced employees to operate machines.
- Hold or supply materials and tools, and load and unload items from machines and assembly lines.
- Locate parts, tag them with identifying text and numbers, and record information such as gauge readings, products produced and manufacturing times.
- Locate defective products or observe equipment malfunctions.
- Report problems to higher-level employees, and if necessary, assist with any fixes.

**Education**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

**Experience**:

- 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (Asset)

**Licenses/Certificates**:

- Forklift License Required (asset/not required)

**Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Mechanically inclined
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Good vision and color identification
- Strong attention to detail.

**Working Conditions**:

- This job is performed in an industrial environment, and generally requires 75% standing, 25% walking. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling may be required from time to time.
- Regular exposure to dust, fumes and noise can be expected.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, are required

**Hours of Work**:

- Day shifts 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.22 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
