**Here’s the opportunity: Mentoring Specialist**
At Futurpreneur, mentoring is at the core of what we do, as we match every young entrepreneur that we finance with a business expert from a network of 2,300 volunteer mentors. Learning from a mentor is key to business launch success.
You will also collaborate closely on a daily basis and with different teams, using communication tools and clear information, to provide the best mentor and client experience as it relates to our flagship mentoring program.
**This is a full time, 8-month contract role, based in Toronto, ON. The incumbent will be working on our hybrid work model (minimum 2 days in the office).**
**What you will do**:
- Onboard new mentors from diverse background in the mentoring program
- Ensure volunteer mentors have completed and up-to-date profiles by collecting all required information, enabling effective and accurate mentor matching for an entrepreneur
- Ensure that new mentors from have a great and positive onboarding experience. This includes social media screenings, calling the mentors to qualify and welcome them to the mentoring program, follow-ups to assist mentors with their registration and online profile, updating mentor profiles/status in our CRM system to document all relevant information and interactions
- Work closely and collaboratively with Client Relationship Managers to ensure a mentor match has been identified for entrepreneurs within the Mentoring Team’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines
- Ensure clear ongoing communications with various teams for a great client experience using multiple tools such as Slack, Trello, Outlook, Microsoft Teams
- Contribute to profile entrepreneurs and mentors’ success stories by flagging as required
- Ensure entrepreneurs and mentors benefit from the relationship as per the Futurpreneur mentorship guidelines and expectations and conduct follow-ups as needed, in collaboration with the Client and Mentoring Experience Team (CMX)
- Build relationship with the mentor community by contacting “waiting to be matched” mentors who haven’t been matched for over 1 year to re-engage them (bi-annual team action)
- Maintain the mentor database updated with clear notes (from mentor onboarding and other contacts with mentors) and mentor status update as needed
- Conduct mentoring relationship final review interviews (24 months check-in) to close the relationship, collect mentor feedback and re-engage mentors to nurture the mentor community
**Requirements**:
**What you will have**:
- Relevant experience may include education with a focus on Business Administration or relevant field or equivalent hands-on career experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a client support/client relation/ volunteer management
- Driven to nurture strong and professional relationships with our volunteer mentors and to engage with potential mentors to grow the mentor community
- Passionate about facilitating collaboration between entrepreneurs and mentors and able to enforce process while building authentic, mutually beneficial relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication, proven interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively with people from diverse audiences and all ages
- Bilingualism in French & English (spoken & written) is an asset
- Ability to collaborate with various teams with clear and regular communications
- Customer service experience, with a desire to guide young entrepreneurs by providing clear information about the mentoring program and mentor matching process
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage tasks and time efficiently, to prioritize and meet deadlines/SLA
