**Your Future Job**

The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for upholding Daiya's food safety and quality standards throughout all stages of the manufacturing process. This role involves routine monitoring, sampling, and testing of products and production environments to ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The QC Technician plays a key role in identifying and addressing quality issues in a timely manner to support consistent product excellence and operational efficiency.

**SHIFT TIME**: 09:00AM - 05:30PM (Monday to Friday) with occasional overtime

**What You Will Do**
- Monitor the quality of incoming raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products through physical, chemical, organoleptic analyses and on-site quality checks.
- Evaluate plant sanitation by conducting pre-operational inspections, changeover assessments, and environmental sampling.
- Perform label verification on finished products, WIP, and premixes to ensure compliance with packaging and regulatory standards.
- Conduct HACCP-related monitoring and routine quality assurance checks to support food safety protocols.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
- Collect samples and perform chemical concentration tests to monitor compliance with formulation specifications.
- Complete various quality control administrative tasks as assigned, including data entry and recordkeeping.
- Promote and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) on the production floor and ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols.
- Support cross-functional quality initiatives and perform other duties as assigned by the Quality team or management.

**Your Background**
- College diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline from a recognized institution. A combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
- Previous experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) within a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Ability to perform microbiological testing and evaluations accurately and reliably.
- Solid working knowledge of HACCP, prerequisite programs, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
