**Job Description**:
Wise Town Cafe is seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista/Server to join our team. As a Barista/Server, you will be an essential part of our cafe's atmosphere, providing exceptional service and crafting delicious coffee beverages. **Responsibilities**:
1. **Beverage Crafting**: Expertly prepare and serve a range of coffee, espresso, and specialty drinks following established recipes and quality standards.

2. Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and offer recommendations from our menu. Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

3. Cash Management: Handle cash and card transactions with precision, operate the point-of-sale system efficiently, and provide receipts promptly.

4. Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and assembling food items, including sandwiches, ensuring they meet quality and presentation standards.

5. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a spotless and organized workspace, including the coffee preparation area, dining space, and restrooms. Regularly sanitize equipment and high-touch surfaces.

6. Collaboration:Work harmoniously with fellow team members, supporting each other during busy periods, and participating in training sessions for new staff when required.

8. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about our menu offerings, daily specials, and any changes to ingredients or recipes.

9. Safety and Hygiene: Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.

10. Upselling: Actively suggest additional items or upsell opportunities to enhance the customer's experience and boost sales.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a barista or server is advantageous, but we welcome individuals who are passionate about coffee and eager to learn.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a welcoming and approachable demeanor.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Attention to detail and a knack for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine operation is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso-based drinks, cocktails, beers, wines, and alcoholic beverages.
- Interact with customers, take orders, answer questions, and make drink recommendations.
- Maintain a deep understanding of coffee beans, brewing methods, drink recipes, and mixology techniques.
- Operate and maintain coffee brewing equipment, espresso machines, and bar tools.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and monitoring alcohol consumption.
- Keep the workspace and bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies and garnishes.
- Handle cash transactions, operate the point-of-sale system, and process payments accurately.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure efficient service.
- Contribute to a positive team environment, attend meetings, and adapt to various shifts.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a Barista and/or Bartender is required.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing, drink preparation, mixology, and beverage trends.
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and pay attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Responsible alcohol service certification (if applicable in your location).
