Data Science Intern

**Responsibilities**
- Help train a network of teachers and students across Canada to use and popularize the project.
- Help design and create learning assets (teacher guides, lesson plans and Jupyter notebooks) for teachers of Grades 5-12 that incorporate computational thinking, coding elements and data science literacy.
- Create training and workshop content and learning assets for Grades 5-12 teachers and students.
- Collaborate with other project team members to identify, prioritize, develop and review learning content.

**Attributes**
- Completed or in-progress degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics and statistics, computer science, or life sciences).
- Two years of software development experience coding with Python or R.
- Comfort in using Jupyter notebooks.
- Documented ability to perform data exploration, statistical analysis, and work with large datasets of varying quality.
- Strong interpersonal communications skills for effective interactions with internal team members and strong presentation skills.

Nice to have skills and experience:

- Previous experience working with teachers and students in Grades 5-12.
- Experience working on an agile team.
- Experience using modern data science tools to develop machine learning models.
