**TITLE**: General Manager, Sales Ontario and Atlantic

**DEPARTMENT**: Sales

**responsibilities**

  • Leading a team of Area Sales Managers and coaching in their respective areas of responsibility
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies to achieve and maximize sales objectives and profitable revenue growth.
  • Create plans to drive brand awareness of all our product lines and services
  • Manage existing partners and develop new business opportunities within the travel trade.
  • Negotiate terms for regional agreements, developing and executing marketing plans and expenditures, and leveraging opportunities both on a tactical and strategic level.
  • Ensuring regional territory alignment for all sales channels in the retail environment
  • Conduct regional analysis and ROI of promotional programs
  • Ensure sales team is leveraging regional marketing and budget spend and tracking accordingly.
  • Liaising with upper management ensuring sales targets are met for the territory and communicating with to the sales team.
  • Create, evaluate, and analyze short term sales incentives to stimulate sales on focused routes & products, and coordinate with Area Sales Manager to launch them.
  • Work on ensuring budget targets are a focus with a strategic team and territorial plan in place
  • Work closely with AC agency sales department to ensure alligment on Account’s incentives.
  • Supervise and evaluate activities of salesperson(s) within the area, providing counsel and guidance;
  • Facilitate a weekly sales meeting with your entire team;
  • Develop and implement action plans to reduce operational cost and improve productivity;
  • Provide AC & ACV with competitive information on an on going basis
  • Work with top preforming accounts in ensuring they are supported and work on marketing and incentive plans
  • Attend Familiarization trips and or conferences when necessary to the region

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the tourism industry, in a sales and servicing role.
  • A relevant University degree (Bachelor's) or certification in Administration or Business Management
  • Demonstrate initiative, accuracy and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to interact and work cooperatively with multiple stakeholders and customers
  • Advanced computer skills with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SalesForce
  • Be available for frequent travel.
