Runnymede LTC Home, a 200-bed long-term care home in Toronto, Ontario is an exciting new project that will be dedicated to enriching the lives of our future residents in partnership with UniversalCare, our family members, valued employees and community partners. Residents are expecting to be admitted in the Spring of 2025.

Our team is currently hiring for a permanent full-time Associate Director of Care for this new build. Reporting to the Director of Care, the Associate Director of Care position is a critical role with overall accountability for influencing and advancing the standard of clinical practice and care outcomes for our residents.

**As part of our team, your role as an Associate Director of Care contributes to our resident experiences in the following ways**:

- Works in collaboration with registered staff in the planning, developing and evaluation of nursing practice.
- Participates in quality management activities and ensures activities carried out are in alignment with the home’s strategic plan and with a focus to continuously improve clinical care practices and resident care.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant legislation including but not limited to: Ministry Acts, regulations, policies and procedures, directives and collective agreements.
- Fosters effective interpersonal relationships between residents, families and other interdisciplinary health team members in relation to nursing and clinical care.
- In collaboration with internal/external stakeholders resolves resident care problems and concerns, identifies and analyzes trends in resident care outcomes and creates/implements strategies to improve overall resident care.
- In the absence of the Associate Director of IPAC, assumes the duties of the Associate Director of IPAC.
- Works in accordance with the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a clinical leadership position in the long-term care sector.
- Must have demonstrated supervisory and leadership abilities in the areas of people management, labour relations, departmental coordination and clinical/quality improvement activities, etc. preferably in a health care setting.
- Sound knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act 2021, Ontario Regulations 246/10.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Point Click Care and other computerized documentation systems.
- Preference will be given to individuals with current membership with GNA and/or RPNAO.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector check.
- Have a passion to promote person-centered care and work with the senior population.
- Works in accordance with the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
