**Site Description**:
This is a Courthouse building located in the heart of downtown Toronto. This state-of-the-art facility is a new build and offers a highly advanced technological setting.

The on-site security personnel will provide a variety of services, implementing the Courthouse’s security objectives according to policies and procedures which may include but are not limited to the following general tasks:

- _ Protect the safety of persons and their belongings on Courthouse property_
- _ Prevent and minimize fire, theft, vandalism, criminal damage, and trespass on Courthouse property_
- _ Parking enforcement: including but not limited to the tagging/towing of unauthorized vehicles, calling out contractors for snow removal._
- _ Minor parking gate access repairs and/or unjamming of mechanisms_
- _ Prohibit entry into secure areas of the Courthouse by anyone other than authorized persons determined by an authorized Courthouse administrator._
- _ Complete interior and exterior patrol rounds of the Courthouse including documentation of conditions/safety concerns and weather reports as required._
- _ Enforcement of the Courthouse’s smoke-free property policies_
- _ Monitor security consoles (access control, secure elevator, and CCTV video monitors)_
- _ Visitor and employee identification verifications_
- _ Respond to alarms_
- _ Complete incident reports, logs, and daily operating reports_
- _ Issue and control access cards and keys to personnel, contractors, and visitors when required_
- _ Lock and unlock doors as scheduled or required_
- _ Report any unusual incidents or hazardous conditions_
- _ Maintain a log of security incidents and report occurrences_
- _ Document, secure, and manage lost and found property and property safekeeping_
- _ Security personnel will provide safety escort services to emergency contractors on Courthouse property when required_
- _ Advise Courthouse staff immediately of any notifiable incidents_
- _ Assist TPS with the management of any aggressive visitors (physically and verbally)_
- _ Attend every event or incident, which they reasonably consider may jeopardize the security of the Facility and provide a high level of customer service._
- _ Assist TPS with the management of illicit substances and or weapons; securing the location of any found items, while awaiting TPS._
- _ Document all events in a notebook or electronic incident report_
- _ Other duties as required/requested_
- Must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training (3 of 5 training days) Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

**Please be aware**:
The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum One Year of Experience in Security
- Proficient in English (both oral and written)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid WSIB Approved First Aid and CPR Level c (Standard Level Preferred) *
- Ability to commit to a minimum 6 months in a permanent full-time position.**:

- Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in Canada a full-time position beyond 6 months.
