**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead, mentor and manage the purchasing and warehouse team, ensuring optimal performance, professional development and adherence to procurement best practices.
- Assign and oversee the work of the purchasing and warehouse team, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and timelines.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for technical and engineered components, ensuring alignment with project timelines and company objectives.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management teams to interpret technical specifications and translate them into sourcing requirements.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on technical capability, quality, delivery performance, and cost.
- Lead RFQs (Request for quote), RFPs (Request for proposal), contract negotiations, and supplier performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor market trends, identify potential supply risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage inventory levels to align with production demand and reduce excess stock or obsolescence.
- Support cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, alternate sourcing, and long-term supplier partnerships.
- Utilize ERP and procurement systems to track purchasing activity, approvals, and budget adherence.
- Prepare procurement reports and dashboards for senior management.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in technical or industrial procurement, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or construction industries.
- Proven experience in leading and developing procurement or cross-functional teams, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and/or electrical components and their specifications.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract drafting skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
