**OVERVIEW**:
The Project Coordinator is a key part of the Project Services team and supports multiple Project Managers and Site Superintendents with the day-to-day coordination and administration of multiple concurrent construction projects. You will focus primarily on supporting the bidding process and pre-construction phase of projects, providing additional technical support to the project team during the construction phase on an as needed basis. While the role includes some administrative tasks, the primary emphasis is on technical coordination, ensuring that projects are accurately estimated, well-planned, and efficiently executed from the outset.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Bidding Process Support**:

- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and project timelines.
- Assist with quantity take-offs and the preparation of bid packages.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to develop comprehensive understanding of project scope.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Review and analyze subcontractor bids for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in bid reviews and presentations with clients and internal stakeholders.

**Pre-Construction Phase**:

- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other technical consultants to ensure project design aligns with budget and schedule constraints.
- Assist in the development and updating of project schedules, identifying critical path activities and milestones.
- Prepare and review technical documents, including scopes of work, project plans, and specifications.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Support the permitting process by preparing and submitting required documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear communication of technical requirements and project expectations.

**Construction Phase**:

- Assist on an as needed basis by evaluating technical specifications, drawings, etc. and providing ad hoc administrative support.

**Administrative Support**:

- Assist and support the Project manager and/or Project Administrator in providing general administrative support to the project team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage project documentation and ensure proper filing and archiving.
- Other duties to support the successful execution of projects.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 5 years local construction experience in a similar role
- Post-secondary technical education in a construction industry related program
- Strong technical understanding of local construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Familiarity with relevant local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficient with computers and various software including the Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project and take-off software (Bluebeam or equivalent)
- Experience with design-build and/or pre-construction services considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related technologies an asset.
- Superlative attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and duties with various deadlines.

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
