**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Management:

- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements including notes and analysis to stakeholders.
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are prepared monthly and reviewed for completeness and accuracy.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Partner Relationship Management:

- Establish and nurture relationships with business partners, such as vendors, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with partners to develop and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships, fostering trust and open communication.
- Serve as a key point of contact for partners, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.
- Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and other financial reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and resolve any identified issues.
- Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs to enhance team effectiveness.

**Qualifications**:

- Professional CPA designation with up to date knowledge on accounting regulations including ASPE and IFRS
- 3-5 years of supervisory/management accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with partners.
- High level of integrity, ethical standards, and confidentiality.
- Experience with enterprise level accounting systems; Microsoft Navision preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience
- Proven leader with the ability to work closely with small and large teams
- Experience implementing process and control improvements with an eye on improving profitability and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with hospitality business and systems is an asset but not required
- Positive, can-do attitude that thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
