**JSM Law**is currently seeking a **Civil Litigation Lawyer**to join our growing team

**Responsibilities for the Lawyer include, but are not limited to**:

- Attending Court;
- Meeting with clients;
- Drafting, reviewing, amending and updating Civil Litigation documents;
- Preparing Statements of Claim, Mediation Memorandums, Trial Records, etc.;
- Researching, factum writing, correspondence with opposing counsel;
- Attending and representing clients for Motions, Examinations for Discovery, Pre-Trials, etc.
- Other duties as required.

**Assets**:

- In addition to Civil Litigation, experience in Real Estate transactions would be an asset, but not required
- Experience in other areas of law would be an asset
- Access to a network of clientele

**Qualifications for Lawyer**:

- J.D. or LL.B.;
- License to practice law in Ontario;
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario;
- 3+ years of experience at a law firm in Canada;
- Knowledge of Civil Litigation - Rules of Civil Procedure;
- Interest, expertise and demonstrated previous experience in Civil Law;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills;
- Excellent business judgment and high level of professionalism;
- Ability to work independently and strong work ethics; and
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
