Warehouse Associate

Shay Tire Limited is looking for a Warehouse Associate to perform an array of functions including but not limited to: receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, stock counts and inventory management, and local deliveries.

Duties and responsibilities
- Running and managing day-to-day warehouse operations
- Picking orders for appointments
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping warehouses and yard clean and orderly and wearing proper safety equipment
- Shipping and receiving duties:

- Receive, unload, label, and organize incoming inventory items appropriately
- Picking and preparing orders
- Process, package, and ship orders accurately
- Loading and unloading of trailers and moving trailers on trailer lot
- Transfer stock between warehouses
- Able to do local deliveries, pick up and drop off
- Stock Counts and inventory control
- Open, close, and secure warehouses and yard gates
- See that yard is maintained to be safe to work in and for customers (Salt, move trailers, etc)
- Regularly lift and or move objects 50 - 150 lbs.
- Other duties as required

Qualification Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Bondable
- Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills required
- Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills are required
- Dependable and reliable
- Knowledge of the tire industry is an asset

This is a busy, fast paced environment with the busiest times for 6 weeks in the spring and 6 weeks in the fall. Reliability is our number 1 priority - this is a key position that is vital to keeping our operation running smoothly. Extended hours may be required during the busy seasons and could consist of 12-hour days.

Hours, Pay, and Benefits

This is a permanent, full-time position, approximately 40-50 hours per week. Daytime shifts. Saturday mornings and extended hours required during busy season in the spring and fall.
