We're looking for a confident and dynamic Regulatory Certification Specialist to join our team and help us to ensure our products continue to meet our excellent standards.

**Job Purpose**:
The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring products meet all necessary certification requirements. This position owns the entire certification process, from researching requirements, completing documentation and auditing conformance. Strong communication skills and confidence are essential for this position as it is responsible for ensuring certification standards are met, creating standard operating procedures, and enforcing compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Compile and submit certification documentation.
- Ensure new products meet certifier standards by determining requirements and communicating with Engineering Department.
- Design processes and documents related to applicable accreditations.
- Reviews and approves product bills of materials (BOM).
- Ensure the continual conformance with certifier standards and customer requirements by conducting spot checks, audits, and maintenance of files.
- Support purchasing in dealing with suppliers to obtain material declarations.
- Update supplier listings and share alternatives with certifiers.
- Review and maintain product manuals for certification compliance.
- Assist in preparing and performing compliance and internal audits.
- Maintain relationships with clients whose products have already received accreditation.
- Oversee warranty/Return Goods Authorization (RGA) program - ensuring appropriate corrective actions, assessing claims, and monthly reports.
- Conduct root cause analyses for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Completion of Post-Secondary education in a related field.
- 4-8 years of regulatory compliance and filing experience.
- Working knowledge of certification expectations including but not limited to: CSA, UL, RCM, EMC, NSF, WRAS and Watermark.
- Experience with IEC 60335, UL 979 or CSA 22.2 is an asset.
- Excellent reading comprehension and technical writing skills; reading, understanding, and dissemination of technical documents including drawings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and proficient in managing, processing, and releasing corporate documents (planned and per demand).
- Attention to detail.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills.
- Proficient in the use of MRP/ERP systems and concepts.
- Able to use measuring equipment, multimeter, and oscilloscope.

**Working Conditions**:

- Head-office position, with time spent in the warehouse.
- Frequent computer usage.
- Periodic lifting, pushing, and pulling.
