For over 30 year’s Bidell Gas Compression has been a North American leader in rotating equipment, including gas compression, power generation and pumps.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

We are currently seeking a **Jr. QC Inspector**for our Calgary Manufacturing Office.

This will be a minimum 1 year contract with opportunity for extension.

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Reporting to the Quality Control Manager for daily job inspections;
- Material receiving inspections and preparing inspection reports;
- Performing fabrication inspections: checking lay-out, fit-up, alignment, welding, internal cleanliness, final dimensions;
- Conducting hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure test inspections;
- Preparing fabrication inspection plans;
- Assist in Non-Conformance Reports as required during fabrication;
- Calibrating pressure gauges and measuring instruments and preparing calibration reports;
- Assisting in preparing manufacturing data reports;
- Coordinates and maintains Bidell’s Quality Control program and manuals;
- Verification of Material Test Reports, Heat and Tracking Numbers and maintaining Material Traceability
- Communicating with Authorized Inspectors and implementing the A.I.’s inspection schedule;
- Ensures that all requirements of the Quality Control program are completed in a timely manner;
- Liaison with the other company departments on on-going processes and issues.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- WET (Welding Engineering Technologist.
- CSA W178.2, Level II
- Be highly motivated and maintain a positive attitude with the ability to work in a demanding, fast paced and challenging environment
- Complies with Bidell’s policies and best practices in daily work
- Shows initiative in meeting or exceeding work schedule
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with mínimal supervision
