**Focus**

The Janitor is responsible for in maintaining our high sanitation standards within all areas of the facility.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Clean building floors by sweeping, Moping, scrubbing or vacuuming
- Dispose of garbage and recycling material as per Star produce guidelines
- Organize the production, and warehouse area
- Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Clean and sanitize sinks, countertop, Tables, coffee machine, fridge, Dishwasher in Lunch room
- Clean and sanitize washrooms
- Ensuring sanitation quality meets Company standards by following cleaning procedures and communicating with Food safety Coordinator (FSC)
- Complete sanitation daily documentation (checklists) accurately.
- Must be able to read and follow instructions for chemical usage and cleaning specifications as set by the company.
- Ability to use cleaning, sanitizing chemicals, high-pressure, low-pressure water hoses
- Operating floor scrubbers other equipment as required
- Able to do other duties as assigned

**Education and Experience**
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Minimum 6 months sanitation experience is an asset
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining a dedication to sanitation and safety

**Physical requirements**
- Must be able to lift from floor to waist 50 lbs.
- Must be able to lift from waist to shoulder 35 lbs.
- Must be able to push/pull a maximum force of 50 lbs.
