Food Service Supervisor

Working with the Food Services Manager, coordinates and supervises the operations of the Food Services Department in accordance with company policies and MOH-LTC legislation. LTC homes and residents are impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and are in dire need of individuals who are able to support them during this difficult time. This position is for 3 days per week.

**Potential Responsibilities May Include**:

- Helps oversee all duties performed by the dietary staff
- Supervises the preparation and service of all meals and nourishments
- Ensures that food is prepared according to standardized menus and recipes and are suitable for residents
- Forecasts menu requirements and prepares production sheets and orders for staff
- Ensures that cleaning and safety procedures are followed during pandemic protocol
- Assists in completing regular inventory and grocery orders
- Assists in the orientation of new employees
- Resolves routine work problems and grievances
- Assists in the staff training and education program
- Other duties as required, including some clinical nutrition duties (as needed)

**Qualifications**:

- Must be a member of CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management)
- Point Click Care, Synergy on Demand, and Microsoft Office tools an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills for dealing with all types of people
- Good problem solving skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment

Licence/Certification:

- CSNM Membership (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management) (required)
