**Poultry Technician/Egg Packer - Full-Time**

**Term**: Full-Time, Permanent

**Location**: Onsite

**Reports to**:Farm Manager

**Shift/Time**: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday - Friday and Alternate Weekends

**Hourly Rate**:$21.23ph

This is a great opportunity for hands-on experience in egg farming. You will be working as part of an important team at the farm, to help prepare the birds and their barns to reach their full potential.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare birds for transport from a barn to another site. This can include loading birds into carts and onto transport trucks, as well as unloading birds from carts into the barn
- Clean barns and equipment, using high-pressure water and various chemicals
- Other farm duties as requested

**Work Environment**
- Work in barns and transport truck trailers that can be noisy, odorous, hot, humid, and dusty
- Work involves physical movements like standing for extended periods, crouching, bending, kneeling, as well as some climbing and heights. This includes lifting up to 60 lbs and repetitively lifting 10-15 lbs

**Qualifications**
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrates positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks that require strength, coordination, and dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and must be able to lift 10-15 lbs repetitively
- Able to show up to work on time and ready to work. Willing to work until the task is complete, which can require longer hours on some shifts. Must have flexibility in respect to scheduling
- Ability to execute all tasks in a safe manner
- Comfortable around farm animals. Able to adhere to animal welfare standards.
- Experience with agriculture or farm animals is considered an asset
- On the job training will be provided
