We are looking for experienced, committed individuals who will assist with our After School Math and English Programs (1:10 ratio classrooms)
This is a permanent part-time position.
**Multiple weeknights: September to June 2:00pm-7:00pm (in-person) + July + August full days available**
**PLEASE STATE YOUR WORKING AVAILABILITY IN YOUR APPLICATION.**
Teacher Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the classroom with activities related to the program (JEI English, Math, Reading & Writing, Problem Solving Math and Critical Thinking)
- Monitor and motivate around 10-15 students between the ages of 4-12
- Be energetic, flexible, and present a positive attitude
- Exhibit positive and professional work habits such as punctuality, dependability, and confidentiality
- Cover front desk when needed, answer phone calls
- Strong Math skills (Up to Grade 8)
- Previous teaching/tutoring experience is a plus, especially exposure to different learning styles. Previous experience with special needs and/or learning disabilities a plus.
